I've been looking all around kijiji, viewit, craigslist etc for a while now and I'm just not finding a place that I like. I've always been interested in those apartments above shops throughout the downtown core but one thing I've noticed is that I have seen very few ads for these anywhere. Can anyone suggest how I can go about looking for apartments like these or do you know of any.
I'm looking for a 2 bedroom for two young professionals for July 1st.

Thank you,
Brandon

Walk the streets and look for For Rent signs. You'll have less competition than finding something through an ad.

Sacrafice a day and just take a walk down Eglinton Rd West, you'll find about 50+ apartments for rent just down that street alone.

Probably going to be hard to find an affordable place downtown you may have to look further afield.i remember living in a nice 2bdrm apartment over a butcher shop on Kingston rd in the Scarborough area, 15 minute streetcar or subway ride to downtown,10 minute walk to the beaches.

Queen st east between Victoria park and Woodbine. The greatest area of any city I have ever lived in. Walk the street and you will find something. My exwife myself and some of my kids have lived there at different times and we have aslways loved it.

All these are good rental sites where you already checked.

Another one I can suggest is toronto classifieds

You can also go to local grocery stores and check out the rental books stacked outside those stores. Sometimes they have some locations listed for rent.
