I needed to get a compact SUV fast so I didn't have time to wait for something better or play the whole negotiation game. This one was in good condition and the mileage was low.

These are the specs:

2009 RAV4 Limited V6 Front Wheel Drive
NAV system
26,500 miles

$21,100 OTD

OMG dude they got you good. Oh man, if I'd paid that much for that car I'd never tell anyone. That may be an absolute record for how badly someone got screwed. Holy crap, I can't believe how much you overspent. I mean, I hope they threw in ten tanks of gas or a couple sets of tires. Dude I feel for you. Do yourself a favor and get the mods to delete this post, then never tell anyone else how badly you were screwed.

OK seriously I have no idea what you should have paid. I'm just messin with ya.

Seems like a fair deal to me. I had a 2010 Rav4 as a rental for a week, couldn't stand the cheap plastic interior. I just got the shivers thinking about it!

I don't know what they go for new...I don't like the styling, powertrain or interior. To give you some perspective so you can decide though, I paid about 34k OTD for my '12 Grand Cherokee. V6, off road package w upgraded AWD, towing, security/convenience and moonroof. This is in VA.

Well, I paid $19K for a 2010 Hav 4 V6 4WD (just like yours). It had 16,000 miles on the odometer. What i did was to tell the dealer, to take $1,000 off the top, and I would buy it. I didn't wait for an answer, just handed him a car with my cellphone number, and told him, "call me if you want to deal." He called me about one hour later.

The V6 4WD is a rocket. Tap the gas pedal and it flies. At 70MPH the speedometer is barely by 2,000 RPM, so it's quite good on fuel. No kidding! Tha Rav 4 4WD is one of the most popular SUV's in Alaska along Subaru. Both of these are incredibly surefooted on ice or snow, and hold their value way up compared to the competition. The Subaru has a slight advantage in relation to the 4WD function, but both's stability control systems work about the same on ice or slippery roads. But none of these two are made for off-roading. The traction/stability controls are standard features. For less than $34K you can buy a sports Subaru Impreza WRX for racing

Rav 4 V6 4WD wearing Blizzak tires.

Great looking car RayinAK !

BTW I didn't get one with 4 wheel drive. I never owned a car with four wheel drive and I didn't see a need for one yet.

As you long as you like it and you feel you got a good deal depending on your situation then you paid what you should....

remember...buy what like and like what you buy

Also remember that no matter what you pay or how good of a deal you got there will almost always be someone who got a better deal. So as long as you are happy then that is all that matters

You should see the dash of my 1981 F-150. Not a pretty sight, I assure you. As ugly as the Laredo's steering wheel
