Just a thought. I have seen cars coming toward me on the road with the plastic guard underneath flapping pretty fast, and just thought if maybe that might be your problem. That sort of noise going down the road would probably be fairly loud. I tend to lean toward the worse-case scenario in situations like yours, but sometimes it might be a simple fix.
Could also be worn brake pads or brake shoes. Some of them have little noisemakers that make sound even when you're not stepping on the brake. And though the sound is usually a squeaking or squealing sound, sometimes it's more of a low rumble or grinding sound.
Pull off a wheel to look. Or have your brakes checked.
P.S. I once found a small pebble stuck at the top of a brake pad, and rubbing against the disc. Wow, talk about NOISE.....
When driving my corallo AE 100 its drives fine but now when i take a turn mosty on my left front end it stick an makes a loud pack"" sound like the tire burst every time i take a little bend or turn what causes that?
Worn tires can be the source of some weird road noises.
Definitely. Once I bought an 889 Corolla from a car rental. They evidently hadn't kept up w/tire rotation. It almost immediately began to make a horrendously loud rumbling. My brother was visiting and he pointed out the tires. Bought new tire, end of issue.
I was also going to say wheel bearing. My 2000 Subaru Outback (200,900 miles) is ready for one on the right rear. It really sings a song when on the freeway. My mechanic said mine would be ok for awhile, but needed to change it soon. On the list for this week actually.
Some cars it is more involve than others.
