looking to replace tires on my 2012 Camry. It has michelin energy saver a/s 205/65/16 on it now. These are the factory tires. They have about 45K miles on em and are near 5/32 nds tread.
Does anyone recommend another brand and or type of tire,or just go with the OE?
thanks in advance.......
Your Camry would enjoy a set of Yokohoma YK580s. They have a 60,000 mile warranty, Speed rated H, traction rated at A and heat rating at A. They ride great, handle great, wet traction is great, they're quiet, frankly, I've yet to find a problem with them. I got my set at Discount Tire. They were cheaper than a Michelin but not a cheap tire. I've always had issues with Michelins riding great when you buy them and by the time they are half worn they ride like bricks. Handle like bricks too. Might add the YK580s to the list to check out.
The 2012 Camry LE I rented had those same tires, and they were noisy to me. The Kumho tires that came on my '12 Sonata were also noisy, I replaced them with Goodyear ComforTreds and it's much quieter and has a better ride.
we have had several camrys and still have two. i usually use toyo, but the last time the toyota dealer had a deal on some hankook. they have been on for about 6 months and made several long trips with them. i really like them. they had a good warranty, lifetime rotation and seem to have good "bad weather" qualities. (we have driven them in ice, snow and lots of rain.)
