With that big grill on the front, it seems like they're trying a bit too hard with the whole "let's make it look sporty and aggressive" thing. That thinking works on some cars, like the Mitsu Lancer Evo, but IMHO to a lesser extent on a car like the Camry that MANY people seem to favor in a boring Tan color...lol.
I wasn't a fan of it when I saw the New York auto show pics, but this one isn't as bad. Toyota and Lexus are using the weird grills as identifying factors for their lineups.

People tend to focus on what THEY agree with. For example, most the people I know think a two door Genesis is one of the ugliest and riciest things ever put on the road... But, thats just my observation of the majority of opinions Ive encountered.
I gather from your screen name that you like the look and performance of sporty cars / sportscars.
We're cut from the same cloth then, as almost all that I buy are sports sedans, sportscars, or sporty "looking" SUV's.
IMHO, the front grill of the 2015 Camry reminds me of the grill on a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution..My 2010 Mitsu Outlander has a similar grill.
Mitsu has since toned down the look in the newest Outlander, since they said female buyers were put off my the aggressive "snout" of the 2010-2013 Outlander.
That blacked out grill might appeal to younger buyers, but what about Toyota's older buyers?? I'm just not convinced they will go for it. My parents own a 2010 Camry and they're in their 70's..no way they would buy the 2015 model.
There's just no appeasing everyone, especially for a mass-produced family sedan in the $20ks. I think it looks great for a mid-gen refresh, especially the XSE model with its interior.
Not a fan of the 2015 Camry nor a fan of the 4th generation prius pictures I've seen. Much prefer the current models, they do not look dated to me. Love the third gen prius looks... What's with the strange looking headlights on the 4th gen?
Also not a fan of huge grilles. I think most fords are ugly with the exception of the newest gen focus/fiesta.
