Call Uhaul, they might not rent you the trailer if your tow vehicle is up to the task (specs/condition).
That is going to be a slow haul for sure.......no HP/lots of weight/tail dragging the whole way! Also it will drastically affect braking, too much weight on the back, pulls the front wheels up and brakes lock up easily!
Those are some good points, the kind of thing I was wondering about. I did do UHaul's online thing to see if my truck could pull it, and it said it could.
But it's a moot point now - I found a deal on a rental truck, half the cost of UHaul, including an all-four-wheels off the ground car carrier, so I'm going to do that instead.
Glad to hear it. Just double your fuel budget since those things normally get around 9-10 MPG's.
Take it easy with them. I've seen people try to drive them 70MPH+ Every one I've ever seen pass me at those speeds I find on the side of the road with hood up a few miles later.
