At www.nycbyfoot.com/default.asp -- Looks like a great deal, free walking tours of NYC (expected to tip the tour guide), looks like great way to explore different areas of Manhattan. Anyone done this?

Going to be in Manhattan for 2 - 3 days next week (Tues, 7/20 - Th, 7/22) & looking for lower-priced ways to see things, I'm on a budget! Any other suggestions? (I'll be on my own, active single female in mid-fifties, very used to doing a lot of walking.)

Not familiar with that operation, but we've done walking tours sponsored by the 92nd Street Y. They're not free but, IMO, they're worth the price.

I suggest you check out the NYC Visitors Bureau for tips: The Official New York City Guide to NYC Attractions, Dining, Hotels and Things to Do / nycgo.com.

*You'll have to test your google skills to use this one.

Free | Own This City

Also the tours given by Parks and Rec are pretty interesting as well
