That's it, and quite a remarkable memorial it is. The names of Kentucky's Vietnam dead are arranged so that on the day they died (in whatever year), the sundial's shadow points to them.

Several of us from my old unit in the war got to honor one our guys whose name is there on Memorial Day a couple of years ago, in the company of his brother and nephew. They even let me make a speech!

Knowing your propensity to use you own personal photos, I'm going to start the guessing with Magog, Quebec. The real challenge here would be to name a city that does NOT have a park that would be a close copy of this one.

That looks like a swan boat, so it must be Public Gardens Park in Boston.

as a hint i would have posted this pic of my 2 daughters sitting in the back lefthand side of the boat, right hand side of the pic.
As for my personal pics you are right JT as a previous moderator used to delight in deleting any photos i posted saying they were copyright infringements i tend to just use personal stuff which (for future reference)spans all of Canada and all of Americas east coast..

I don't have many pictures in my computer as I still favor hard-copy photos in a shoebox.

But, I do often post pictures I've found of places I've been.

The use of this building more than a century ago lent it's name to an important event. The event actually goes by two names, either of which will be the answer. There IS a clue in the picture.
