Well, I never caught fire, (at least, not in Hermiston), but I was through there many times back before they built the interstate coming down from Umatilla.

I never realized Biggs was so small. It looks bigger with that collection of motels and restaurants up on the hill overlooking the river. In fact, there used to be a restaurant there which had dining room from which you could watch the barges passing by down below and I stopped there fairly regularly just for the view.

That's a fascinating and beautiful part of the country. I haven't been up there now in probably 15 years and really need to go back.

Yeah, I know. I was just thinking outloud; making some initial observations which may, or may not, be relevant.

Actually, my first impression is North Africa, but the English signs just about preclude that. Hmmmmm....or does it?

I spotted the sign that says "ceramique" and started looking at french speaking islands off of Africa.
