No, it's not the Caribbean. Stillkit, everyplace is a former European colony.

Good one Stillkit - and really enjoyed reading the exchange between you and Skinem

I'll guess Aruba for JT's challenge but I'm just being lazy and think I'm wrong. EDIT - yup, wrong - just saw JT's response to Stillkit

Well...that's true enough, isn't it?

Yes, but I'm not going to award you the prize for that. You need to narrow it down a little.

Wow, you sure brought some names out that I haven't heard in years (Wyeth, etc.)...and you're right, the dam is Bonneville.

If you picked up fries in Hermiston or Boardman, you were close to me...in fact, I may have helped put your truck out when it caught fire! (I was on the local FD.) French fry trucks make the best smelling fires...

It's a neat museum you posted...
Thanks

Well, I never caught fire, (at least, not in Hermiston), but I was through there many times back before they built the interstate coming down from Umatilla.

I never realized Biggs was so small. It looks bigger with that collection of motels and restaurants up on the hill overlooking the river. In fact, there used to be a restaurant there which had dining room from which you could watch the barges passing by down below and I stopped there fairly regularly just for the view.

That's a fascinating and beautiful part of the country. I haven't been up there now in probably 15 years and really need to go back.

Yeah, I know. I was just thinking outloud; making some initial observations which may, or may not, be relevant.

Actually, my first impression is North Africa, but the English signs just about preclude that. Hmmmmm....or does it?

Boy, you've got better eyes than me! I saw that sign too and though it might be significant, but I just couldn't make it out.
