Ok- I hear of all these deals and steals. So let see if anyone has really had a deal. Where did you go? How long was the stay? What was included? How much was your package? Was it worth it?

I think my best travel deal was a trip to Ireland, a week staying in 4 star hotels ( mostly Old Country Manors, very luxurious and elegant) , including the ferry from the UK ( car and passengers) for under $200 a head. It was amazing and a fantastic holidays and we got a $100 refund because the ferry was 4 hours late due to bad seas !! I had booked it independently ( I don't like travel agents or "all inclusive" package deals as my partner and I are more into being independent travellers).
We also had a great week in Morocco in February , flights, a stay in a beautiful Riad , with Breakfast for under $ 300 each which was amazing value.

I use lastminute.com: hotels, holidays, flights, travel and entertainment at the last minute. a lot and they occasionally have some really amazing deals too.

I tend to research everything on the internet and it saves us a lot of money.

I once called my travel agent and told her to watch for any great weekend junket get-a-ways. We just needed a break. What she found was Amazing!
Round trip air from St. Louis to Montego Bay Jamaica, transfer's to Negril, 4 nights lodging in a great, but not well known resort, for $200.00. After we added in our food, tips, and souvenirs the total costs for us was less than 300 per person. And for 4/5 days of pure relaxation... it was nothing short of Wonderful!!
