So im taking it that everyone complaining about a pat down has never been to a night club before in which they receive a near similar pat down. If a plane went down due to explosives in underwear, everyone would be screaming why didnt they pat us down and feel our junk. So either go through the scanner or take a pat down and be glad that there actually taking measure to make sure you dont put explosives in your under pants.

If the argument is about radiation exposure i fully understand, but other than that your near naked image isnt being seen by anyone in the screening area and there will be thousands of others going through that too, so i doubt they will keep and save "your" image only. The person that sees it dont know you and probably never will

What kind of night clubs do you go to?? I go all the time in Vegas, NYC and LA and have never seen or experienced this. Maybe you need to get yourself on a guest list of a better club!

I'm slightly confused. So is this pat down or scanner option only for those flying internationally? I thought it was a newly implemented domestic rule as well, but I flew domestically today and no one was being sent through either a scanner nor getting a pat down.

Now in regards to the person that suggests the best thing to do is to just NOT fly, is not okay for those who have family abroad, as well as those of us that have the travel bug/wanderlust bug. I agree that it's ridiculous to take it out on the TSA agents that are just trying to make a living, but what if they all went on strike and just refused to comply? I know that in this economy there would for sure be scabs so I can't blame them for that either.

I think the best thing we can do to protest is to organize protests as well as innundate your congressman and senator with pleas to stop this madness. But again, I am confused as to where this is actually being enforced as law because like I said flying today, I didn't witness even one person being subject to either. They actually had the scanner roped off and no one was being pat down.

I went from SLC to SF - so I don't see why I wouldn't have witnessed these new regulations if they are in fact domestic as well as international.

Hmm yea that is odd, cause it says SLC has it. Can't hardly believe a small airport like that would get them though.

eh, I doubt they want anything to do with your naked body when they are done scanning you......

What says that SLC has it? And honestly it's not THAT small of an airport. It's an international airport. So I guess what you're saying is that your understanding is that this is a mandate imposed on ALL airports in the US regardless of whether or not these are international or domestic flights. Can someone link to a link that supports this? A govt link that states the bill that was passed that imposed this on all airports in the U.S.?
