Ah yes, Jerusalem is amazing. You really do feel like you're walking through a museum, but one that's still intact from ancient times... then you go to Ben Yehuda street at night, and it comes alive like a modern street circus. I wanna go back!!

Only 10? Like many above, I've traveled extensively (Thank you, Uncle Sam & American taxpayers!) Went to St. Petersburg, Russia in February and, while I'd also like to see the city in it's Springtime, Summer or Fall finery, we absolutely had a wonderful time in February. Certainly was nice not to have to wait in long lines to see museums & palaces. I guess if I had to choose a list:

Maritime Provinces of Canada and all of Canada West of Edmonton
More of Iceland than Kevlavik Naval Air Station
All of the corners of Western Europe that I haven't seen yet
The rest of Eastern Europe besides the Czech Republic (LOVED Prague)
Travel on the Orient Express
Trans-Siberian Express
Train trip through the Barrancas in Mexico
Cuba to see vintage American Autos
Panama Canal
Australia

I'm astonished by the number of requests to visit NYC. Compared to 80% of the locations on this thread, NYC is not that serious. The 5 Boroughs are quite an experience but visually very mediocre.

NYC tops the list of cities for people all over the world, not just the US. If you haven't been, I totally see why you would have that on your list. I grew up just outside of the city and spent much time there so I'm very familiar with it. I think everyone should visit NYC at least once. You can see what you said about NYC about every other place on earth.

The America media has built up this mystique around NYC, so people around the world feel they must visit it.

Here are mine:

New Zealand (Been there twice, but it's still at the top of my list)

A lush, deserted Pacific island

A live volcano

The base camp at Everest (I really have no desire to climb the thing, however)

The Amazon jungle

Macchu Picchu

Monument Valley in Arizona

Train Ride across Siberia

The Galapagos
