Just wondering if anybody has flown in/out of Newark on Christmas day. I have a very tight connection and will have to change terminals due to a codeshare flight. Will it be pretty empty on Christmas night?
On Christmas day, it will just be you, and santa & his elfs heading off to vacation. The place will be empty (execpt if there are problems on 12/24 with weather, then it will be a zoo.) The AirTrain runs every few min beween the terminals, Also CO run some shuttles from Term C to Term A1 & A2 gates (Inside security). So if your code share is in C or A1/A2 take the CO bus.
Christmas day tends to be less of a problem than most days. Unless, of course, you get weather.
If it's an allowable connection you can probably make it- maybe walking briskly- if your flight is on time. Last couple of times I was through Newark it wasn't.
As said previous, Chritmas day there will be nobody there. Everyone tends to head out on the 22, 23rd, or 24th nobody heads out that day (and especially coming home at night). The ONLY time it'll be crowded is if there's a weather delay on the 23rd or 24th which shuts the airport down 1 of those 2 days then it will be an absolute mess. If not you shouldn't have a problem getting around.
