Camden/ Kennbunkport area - Maine ( I recommend the "Timbercliffe Cottage" B&B in Camden and "Captain Fairfield" B&B in Kennebunkport - If you are Girly Girls drive down to Kittery for some retail therapy). Gorgeous area, lots of nice places to eat .

Boston , North Shore and Cape Cod - Too much to see and do and plenty to keep you occupied

Charleston/ Savannah - Beautiful places with lovely coastline ( mostly) , great dining , shopping, cultural stuff to do ( concerts etc...)

second; is DC for Cherry Blossom Fest

Savannah / Charleston too,
Great Smoky NP ??

plan your Montreal, QC trip for early fall, then quickly down to Maine for end of Lobster season, and on into Boston /VT / NH for fall colors

have a blast.

BTW: Age / interests...???
80 yr old Girlfriends may have different tastes than 18 yr old, but maybe not!!, especially in the spring.

Great time to go anywhere.
