We are thinking of taking a trip this Summer but we will have our 10 month old Granddaughter with us. We are young Grandparents and have traveled (by car) many times with our Grandson over the past several years but he will be elsewhere this time.

I'm wondering if there are tips for packing, etc. for travel by plane with an infant? We could drive but we would have much more time at our destination if we fly (Atlanta to Maine). We'd like to be at our destination for 7-10 days.

How do you know WHAT you cannot do with out on your trip, and what do you do with your stroller at the airport?? I know when we travel by car the car is always packed LOL!

TIA!

I see people all the time leave the push chair at the plane door and they load it with the baggage and you collect it the other end... looks fairly painless... I have a friend who travels with her small child all the time - since he was 3/4 months old she has been doing a Singapore - UK flight with him to visit family.
Just take enough food / nappies and you're fine...

Just a though you may need to check what docs you need - letter of authorization as you are not the parents maybe ??

No problem with little kids traveling by plane. The steward/ess will accommodate your needs. The stroller will be put away in the closet, in the plane. All you need is a little snack for your grandchild, and something to make her occupied on the plane and keep her happy. No one appreciate a crying baby on the flight.
Here is additional info:

I am sure you both will enjoy the flight.
