Our two longest trips ; Nova Scotia to Long Island. Dont know the mileage but it took about 17 hours.

Then Missouri to Long Island in a snow storm. That took 22 hours.

Both were taken in a Ford Explorer.

and yes we are still married.

I drove from Texas to Missisisppi (before changing my mind and driving back to Texas again). The next week, I packed up my things (for good) and drove from Texas, to St. Petersburg florida, (to drop off the now ex-husband) then from FL, to Elroy Wisconsin, stayed the night, down to Indiana to visit the dad, sideways to Maryland to stay with my mom for a bit. all in all it was a whole lot of drivin. in a not so very straight path ..but i'd do it again. had a lot of bonding time with myself and my truck.

Drove from Newport News, VA to Manitowoc Wisconsin. Took about 18 1/2 hours. Hubby and I thought we could do it without stopping, but we werent even close! We stopped in Pennsylvania at like 2am and got back on the road at 6am. It was a rough one! Next year we plan to do it with a 3 year old and a dog...lol We plan to take our time for that trip!

I know I've answered this already but almost drove to Oklahoma from Az here a couple of years ago, was looking forward to the road trip that would have taken about 16 hrs of drive time but at the last minute someone informed me of a last minute flight deal which would have been cheaper and given me an extra 2 days out there. Good thing too, because when I landed and called my ex to let him know, he told me it was a good thing because he was just told last minute, that the base was going to have a 'last minute' family day the very next morning, open to the families of the new recruits where we could meet with the drill sgts, other people, etc. Had I driven, it would have been an event that would have been missed. And too, again, it gave me 2 extra visiting days out there.

You guys are all insane! Wow. The longest trip I've ever taken in one day is probably Reno, NV to Salem, OR - and I went through Lassen National Park, too! I was in the car for about 14 hours by myself.

The most unsafe drive I've ever done was from Reno, NV home to Glendale, CA. I had flown back with my young children from visiting my dad in Florida, so I was on eastern time. I began the drive at 1:00 p.m. and got home around 10:00 p.m. (1:00 a.m. Florida time!). I really shouldn't have been on the road, especially the last couple of hours! I kept thinking, "A little more, and then I'll stop." Before I knew it, I was home!

I drove from Floodwood MN to Wasilla, AK, 56 hours driving time with 8 hours sleep during the trip. Not my brightest moment, but I only got one speeding ticket and I must say, the Mountie that wrote me was about the most polite law enforcement official I've ever met!

It wasn't my longest day of driving, but I once drove from my home about 265 miles to Altamont Speedway, watched a stock car race, then drove home afterwards for a total of about 530 miles driven, and watching the race in between. That was a long night!

Seattle to Riverside County: 1198 miles (14 years ago)
(Can' t remember how long it took - my mom had me completely incoherent by the time I got home from back seat yapping at me all the home!)

Whittier to Idaho: 840 miiles for a funeral and then two hours rest before having to drive right back to Whittier to be at work on time. <---Do not attempt!!! It was the scariest thing, (highly irresponsible) I had ever done, (25 years ago), and was completely exhausted beyond any reason for two days afterward!

The longest drive we make now is to Lake Tahoe, Bass Lake, and so, maxing out at about 8 - 9 hours on the road before resting.
