I am leaving for my vacation in 9 hours and have a query. I have a normal point and shoot camera but along with that i have a camera tripod with me.
Can i carry that foldable tripod in my carry on bag ? I have already packed it in my bag as it folds to 1/3rd of its size, but want to be double sure whether i can keep in carry-on or not.
Please let me know.

I visited the TSA website and they have a link on right side which says "Can i bring... through the security checkpoint"
I searched the word tripod and it gave me option of camera tripod and it did say that i can keep in carry-on.
But personal experiences would be very much appreciated.

this isn't a serious question ??

Of course you can take it. As long as it isn't a knife / weapon / liquid / drug etc as stipulated by the TSA website you can take it....

If you are going overseas, just be aware that what the TSA allows and what security in other countries allow can be different.
