So summer is coming
Supposedly the economy is better so supposedly more people will travel
Gas prices are down
I am told more people are hitting the road and doing less "staycations " than in summers past
SO WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
I am not doing anything as of yet, because I just bought a new house and getting settled into a new job
Will probably do something later on but it will not be huge, no cruise or cross counrty excursion.
Probably stay within the state, maybe go over and contribute to the Mouse's financial well being
IF anyone wants to suggest anything cheap, two adults two kids 5 days and in or around Florida ... nothing too overly strenous Thanks

We're heading to Abaco in the Bahamas. Got a house right on the beach, pretty secluded, and the requisite hammock. Rum drinks, gin clear water, and total relaxation...ah, music to my ears. I need one of those total stress free vacations this summer because work has been crazy!

We're travelling to Tampa and Orlando in June. Also planning a trip to San Francisco at some point over the summer to see a friend.

Due to co-workers getting married and a staff shortage, two of my three vacation weeks occur consecutively in September. It's been a while since I've vacationed in September, so I'm open to suggestions (solo traveler, mid-30s).

A family reunion SOMEWHERE in NoCal but my real vacation will be in October. Presently trying to figure out how to combine Rt 66 with trip to New York. I never travel much in the summertime; the fall is so much better for weather, crowds etc. RadioSilence why not try Canada or Northern California/Oregon?

September is an excellent travel time because anyway you look at it, it is generally low season as practically all the families with kids and all the college students are busy that month.
Depending on what time in September you might be able to catch the fall colors in the northeast, or if you so desire, prices into Europe will be dirt cheap, especially London as they will be empty after the Olympics.

We just had our vacation--an Alaska cruise. Kind of early to qualify as a summer vacation, but...

Thinking perhaps the Northwest for the first time ever. We are in Northern New England and the furthest west we have been is Montana and Arizona. Would love to see the Pacific Ocean. Trying to see if we would prefer Seattle WA or Portland OR. Our last trip was a short (5 days) in DC in November our favorite city so far.

We are moving house in july. So after a year of lots of stuff going on, we are treating ourselves and our teens to a cruise. We sail from Copenhagen to stockholm, to helsinki, to St. Petersburg,, to estonia and back to Copenhagen. We will be living in Pittsburgh then.
