Argentina is a HUGE country with a very diverse and sparse population. Of course the largest city has the largest community and is also one of the most touristic place... Buenos Aries.

But there are many, many other places to visit that are incredibly wonderful and mindblowingly beautiful, serene and relatively untouched by masses of humans!

There are the vineyards of Mendoza, the Perone history of San Juan, the mountains (great skiing, hiking, sailing) in the San Martin des los Andes, there are the plains (and gaucho rodeo's) of Patagonia, and of course there is the famous Tierra del Fuego!

Remember that the weather seasons are in reverse... so if its Summer in the USA then its Winter in Argentina. So their travel 'high' seasons will be a bit different.

Also, if your planning a trip to Argentina, don't even think about seeing the whole country in a week, that's like saying you're going to see all of the US and Canada in a week! Insanity! Pick one area and stick to it.

They do not have a well developed air travel system in place, so don't think that you can just fly from point A to point B and cover more ground. Its not like that... you'll most likely be stuck taking a bus (their buses are amazingly comfortable and stocked much like an airplane) or renting a car... but of course the days and times you can rent a car are not 24/7 - so choose your arrival date wisely. Sunday is not a good day to arrive in Chile or Argentina!!!
