Oh, all right: San Francisco, Los Angeles (San Gabriel), RT 66 including Needles, Williams AZ (only counting the places we stayed), Tucumcari, Albuqueque, Santa Fe, (out of order, I know) Elk City OK, Jopllin , Chicago , Hudson OH, NYC (preferred Brooklyn to Manhattan, Nags Head NC, Asheville, Memphis, Little Rock, Williams AZ again, and that's all I can remember. Want to see again: Williams AZ, great little mountain town an hour from the Grand Canyon which at night displays a glorious collection of neon left over from R66 days. Don't want to see again: Albuqueque. Safe journeys to everyone traveling in the coming year.

2012 was the most I've ever travelled in one year, and even though I didn't go to that many places, it was a lot for me and I'm hoping I can keep this up.

Boston (lived)
and by extension:
Cambridge, MA
Fall River, MA
Worcester, MA
Woonsocket, RI
Pawtucket, RI
Providence, RI
Brockton, MA

Los Angeles (living) - 1st time along with all the CA ones
(and of course Santa Monica, Inglewood, WeHo, etc.)
Long Beach, CA
Oakland, CA - A really underrated, beautiful city
San Francisco, CA
Sacramento, CA - Strange place
Palo Alto, CA

I also got to drive up and down the Central Valley twice this year.

West Palm Beach, FL - 8th time (one of the oddest places on Earth)

Old Saybrook, CT - 1st time

New York City - 7th time (still amazing as ever)

Istanbul, Turkey - One of the most amazing cities on earth. Can't say enough about it.

Izmir, Turkey - Cool place.

Selcuk Region, Turkey - Awesome Greek and Roman ruins, also featuring one of the 7 Ancient Wonders of the World.

Honolulu/Oahu - Nice in places, but ultra touristy in others.

Freeport, Bahamas - Scenery wasn't bad, but not the greatest Caribbean place. Relaxing in any case.

Tucson, Arizona - Snoozefest

Raleigh/Durham, NC - Always been a fan of a few areas of those cities.

Then a bunch of other cities that don't count like Des Moines, Iowa, Rochester, Minnesota, and Kalamazoo, Michigan. If we count airport visits then I was in San Francisco, Miami, Washington DC, Charlotte, and Phoenix (2x) too. I live in downtown Chicago too, so I guess I'll count that too since people vacation near where I live

For 2013, I'm probably going to Istanbul again (figures) and will try and go to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and some surrounding islands there. Hopefully somewhere in the Caribbean and then who knows where else within the US. May swing a trip back to British Virgin Islands (did that last year), and maybe Marrakech, Morocco if I have time at the end of 2013. Turned down a trip to India for 2013...will go sometime
