We were lodging at a motel in Palm Springs, and one of the pull-out drawers in the end table was full of women's panties. They appeared clean ~ I assumed that the previous visitor just forgot them ~ but I wouldn't touch them. I reported it to maid, who apologized, and she took off with them. Apparently the maid service didn't check the drawers, etiher.

Here is a different one.

A few years back, I checked into a large Reno hotel. Later that evening, I was looking for a phone book. I opened the drawer to the nightstand ... and there was a crisp $100 bill in the drawer. When i saw it, I thought that it was a Bible tract or an advertisement. No, it was really a $100 bill.

It was a nice start to a vacation.

I've worked in several hotels ... so here goes
A rubber Ronald Reagan face mask left between the sheets in a boutique hotels bridal suite.

Various sex toys under beds, between bedding etc ..

Evidence of ductape 'handcuffs' and sexy underwear along with body oils left behind when the occupants left via the window instead of checking out.

Blue candles, about 50 of them scattered all over a room and the bathroom.

Brand new Le Sac bags, framed prints, home decor objects left behind by a couple of ladies who had won at the local casino, on calling them they told us they didn't need that stuff so just to keep it.

And the list goes on .....

My wife dislocated her elbow in Panama, and had to keep it in a cast for a few weeks. When it was ready to come off, we removed it and left it in a dresser drawer in a little hotel in some small town in Colombia.

Husband travels alot for work and we (myself and 2yo) often go along. Since we will be staying in a room for upwards of a week, I will often hit the local Walmart/Drugstore/Dept Store and buy her things to keep her quiet and occupied in the room (lego/duplo sets, puzzles) and things to take to local parks (kites, balls to thow and kick, outdoor game stuff, bubbles) or beach toys (balls, pail and shovel, etc). I end up leaving this in the room unless I spy someone with little ones checking in as we are leaving. I always write a note explaining the the items are not "forgotten" so the staff can keep them or paqss them along.

I work for a hotel. It may not be "strange" but I think it is gross that housekeeping found ladies underwear in the sheets of a bed. The funny/weird part is that all of the occupants were men. lol

Default Don't look under the beds !

What you see may be very gross and yucky.
Might be a lot worse than looking at the underside of a restaurant table.
I have no Idea why but I did both of those things and got all grossed out.
Being way too curious can lead you to nasty and dark places.

If you can, tip your hotel maids well if deserved, they don't make much in wages and get diddly in tips compared to restaurant servers. ~♥~
