I take tons of pictures. Pre-digital cameras I used to have my photos developed and diligently put my favourite shots in albums.

Unfortunately in this digital world - I now take the pics and then usually just post them on facebook and/or instagram. I have all the digital files saved on a hard drive and look through my albums on facebook periodically, but it's just not the same as an album. Digital has made me lazy I think

True. But the sharing part is so much easier. On a couple of my trips, I uploaded as I went and put links in my emails home. That's a quantum leap from pre-digital. Also...........it means never having to sit through a slide show of "my trip". Photos come in much smaller groups. I don't think in this day and age anyone would invite friends for a vacation slide show. Certainly, there's no excuse anymore. Also people who've done similar travels can comment on when they were where you are.

My niece did a travelogue on her trip to Machu Picchu. An album from each place in Peru that she visited.

Curious how popular Venezuela is since Chavez took over. Did the amenities take a nose dive?
