Europe is a favorite because I've been several times, but I want to explore South America. I went to the Amazon on a cruise, it included a day trip over to Devil's Island French Guiana...boy that was interesting and creepy at the same time (the prison). SO is originally from Colombia which is much safer now than in the past. Would love to check out the coffee area. We have tons of places to stay with relatives but the airplane fare is stopping us for now...too many things going on eating at our budgets. I also have Australia on my mind.

I have been to Germany twice and recently went to Argentina (visited the Lake District/northern Patagonia plus Buenos Aires).

I have a very strong desire to go back to South America. There was something that really drew me and continues to draw me to the Andes mountains and there are so many other things to see down there. The Altiplano, Machu Picchu and surrounding Incan sites, the Amazon rainforest, cloud forests in Ecuador, Chilean fjords, Easter Island, amazing hiking and climbing along the entire Andes range, and Iguazu Falls...the list could get really long and go on for a while.

I can hardly wait to head back down there. I really want to head to Chile to climb Cerro La Campana where the Pacific Ocean and the Aconcagua can be seen on a clear day and then head into the high Andes.
