Hi
3 of us are spending a week in Norfolk, preferably Ghent, VA in late august. I want to find a furnished rental for the week, preferable a sfh or townhome but open to a condo.
How do I find a weekly furnished rental that is legit?
Do you recommend some site for me?
I don't want a hotel--want a home.
I don't want to 'rent' an 'available' home only to find out someone who does not own the home screwed with me. (thus-no Craigslist)

Thanks!

Vacation Rentals By Owner is good. They have reviews of the rentals by people who have stayed in them, and photos and descriptions. The only question is whether they'd have something in the area you're going to.

You might want to find out if the area even allows short-term rentals. Some towns forbid it.

I second VRBO. Tripadvisor has vacation SFH rentals too. I think TA saw how successful VRBO was and wanted in on that market.

Agree with VRBO. HomeAway is another one.
