To Americans; How Many States Have You Visited? (overnight, road trip, England)

Just out of interest, this one.

Being on this little Island, (I'm in England), there really isn't that much to explore. Some even feel no need to explore, I've known people that never went more than ten miles from where they were born.

I'm just wondering how much you all get about.

I think I have visited 43, but I am not sure. As a child we did a very long road trip when dad got out of the Navy after WW2. I want to say we did not got to WI or Minn. If we did, I have only missed 5 of them.

47 of the "lower 48" and almost all several times over.
Hawaii and Alaska would be special trips.
Utah has just never been en route.

I've been to all eastern states from MA down to FL, and then CA and NV.

14 states + D.C.
