I've been all over the Caribbean and would have to say that stop is pretty low on my list. No real desire to go back. It's been a few years though, so who knows? Cabo is always fun but I don't think there is enough to do there for any length of time.
Interesting about T and T, I have always heard positive things about the area, but haven't been there either. We too, have been to almost all the Caribbean, with the exception of T&T, Grenada and Turks. Cabo would not be a place I would want to spend more than a couple of days. Like you say, there really isn't much to do. Now, that you say T&T isn't all the great I won't keep hoping we can find the right cruise or trip to that region.

Wow, I'm a bit surprised with thoughts on T&T. What exactly made it so low for you? Thanks for that insight though. The reason why it was on my final list of places I was deciding on was because I thought it be fun, exciting place to visit. Seems like that isn't the case!
This may be going away from the initial purpose of the thread but I'm really curious to know - and I'm posing this quesition to both AZPam & nmnita since you two have visited so many places in the Caribbean; What are your favorite or most memorable places that you've visited & would recommend? I may have to adjust my final list although PR may stay on the list after so many positive reviews!

Please keep in mind, this is just MY opinion. Maybe I like things you don't. Good example would be that I always have fun in Jamaica and tons of people hate it. Wouldn't want to stay a week there, but for a cruise stop, I think it's a blast. Yes, we always get asked if we want to buy drugs, but I've had that happen at other places too. Maybe I just look like a party type of gal!
Not too many places I don't like. Barbados and swimming with the sea turtles, Grand Caymen and swimming with the sting rays, Grand Turk, loved the water! St Maarten, have to stop at the beach by the airport and watch the planes landing, but the island tour is fun too. Orient beach is beautiful. Can't go wrong shopping in St Thomas but I prefer to just go to a beach and hang out. Grenada we've done ATV tours into the rainforest and along the beach or sailed to Nevis. St Kitt we did river tubing in the rain which was a blast. Done something else there that I can't remember. St Lucia is probably one of the most beautiful islands, but so, so poor. Lots of people don't like it. Last time we were there we took a boat to the Piton's and hung out on the beach. Also sprinkled some of my dad's ashes there as it was his favorite stop too.
Stopped at St Vincent on one of our first cruises and was so scared walking around town, headed right back to the boat. I don't think ships even call there anymore. Not a fan of Aruba as it's too much desert and I get enough of that at home. Not a lot to do on Isle Margarita but you can buy cheap pearls!
If I had to pick a place to spend more time at, probably would be Barbados or St Lucia

It is hard to choose just one or two places but here is my choices:
1-Barbados, there is a lot of things to do and see plus the beaches are really nice. I am not crazy over the people, they are not terrible friendly to Americans. Unfortunately we have seen this with so many Caribbean Islands.
Dominica is another island we like. Don't confuse it with Dominican Republic.
Aruba: It isn't as pretty as some islands, because it is really a desert Island, but the people are nice and the beaches about the nicest I have ever seen. If you plan on spending more than a few days there, are not golfers and do not gamble, you might find it boring, but we have been there twice and love it. I will add, it is on the expensive side, but so are a lot of the islands.
San Juan does have a lot to offer as well. Being a larger island, there is more to do, than some places.
There are a few islands I would never return to, unless I was forced to go: 1 is St Lucia, in all fairness, we just had a personal problem that gave us a bad feeling. Some people love St Lucia. 2-Jamaica; I cant' say anything positive about the place and we have been there 3 or 4 times, twice on land, the other times on cruises. Oh, there is one positive thing: doing Dunns River Falls is an adventure and worth doing, if you decide to go there, but otherwise, it is really awful!!!
St Thomas has some interesting things and decent shopping, but it isn't high on my list; I would say the same about St Maarten. The fun thing about St Maarten is the island is split, 1/2 Dutch and 1/2 French, which does make it interesting, plus there is good shopping. I guess I would rate it toward the top of my list. It is just we have been there so many times, we have become tired of it.
Most of the rest of the islands, Cayman Islands, Antigua, St Kitts, Margarita Island, and a few others are fine for a stop over but I don't know if I would want to stay at any of them more than a day or so.
Oh, if snorkeling is your thing, the best place for that and the friendliest people are in Roatan, but we dont' like Belize and we don't like Tortola.
NMNita, just proves my point. Different strokes for different folks. If T&T is a place you want to visit, don't let my opinion stop you!
You are so right: what one person sees as heaven, another will see as HELL. It is the same with cruise lines, food, and restaurants. All are very subjective.
