I'm deciding between these 3 places to visit next year. I will be going with my s/o & would like to go somewhere with beautiful scenery & more than enough events that we can both enjoy. Any suggestions as to which location would be the best for a couple - places/ events to check out, nice hotels (all-inclusive or not), things to weary of or prepared for - any & all advice would be great appreciated!
I've only been to Cabo and it was very nice. The only drawback was the frequent solicitations to buy a condo or time share, but folks gotta make a living I guess.

Thanks for the reply. Are there any places or events you would recommend checking out while there? Did you stay in an all-inclusive hotel & if so was it worth it?
Of the three, I would probably rank PR at the bottom. It probably has much of what you're looking for, but the congestion and traffic in and around San Juan can be horrible, crime on the island is pretty bad and the beaches, due to the significant population, are anything but unspoiled.
I have been to Cabo and San Juan. Of the two, for activities San Juan would be my choice hands down. There really isn't much to do in Cabo..One of the few places we have not been in the Caribbean is Trinidad/Tobago. From what I have heard though, and I was choosing between the places you are looking at, I would certainly go there. The only negative thing about San Juan is the beaches. They are not like beaches on the other islands. As for the beaches in Cabo, they are nice, but the water will not be as warm as in the Caribbean.
Thanks for the replies! So it seems both of you agree that PR is the better choice over Cabo minus the beaches. Wow, the crime thing is a bit of a deterrence for me. Is there a certain time of the year most ideal to visit?

I stayed at a private house. Dinner at sunset at Las Ventanas al Paraiso is nothing short of stunning, but you can say the same thing about the check. Golf likewise is very good but very expensive ($200-300 a round.) But don't let that stop you; there's much less expensive stuff to do. Look into sport fishing and dine where the locals and expats go. The beaches are beautiful and free and there are inexpensive places to dine in Cabo. You can always do touristy stuff like Cabo Wabo, Slim's Elbow Room (world's smallest bar). Definitely bring a camera.
Been to all 3 and hands down San Juan is my favorite. Every time we head for a cruise that departs from there, we go a few days early because it's so much fun

Thanks! You're the first that has replied who's been to Trinidad & Tobago. How would you rate the other 2 locations after San Juan? How was your experience in T&T?

I've been all over the Caribbean and would have to say that stop is pretty low on my list. No real desire to go back. It's been a few years though, so who knows? Cabo is always fun but I don't think there is enough to do there for any length of time.
