We had a LONG layover (>3.5 hours) in MSP a few years back. We thought our flight left at 3:50 pm. Actually, it left at 3:15 pm. When we arrived at the gate at 3:00 pm, the whole flight had boarded. That was close!!

Yes, I was in Brussels and I wanted to visit Leuven, I got my ticket, took the train and I arrived to...Leuven la Neuf!! (a university) there are two Leuvens in Belgium and they are not so close, people didn't warn me about this either, so at least I visited a Belgian University lol.
