Without kids: Raleigh, NC to Denver, CO - 1,700 miles in 26 hours. Left Raleigh in the afternoon after a morning of work and split the drive w/ my brother only stopping for food, gas and toilet breaks. Got into Denver and crashed for a few hours before dinner. Proceeded to drive up into the mountains, go skiing and hiking, then down to NM for mountain climbing. After 11 days, we did 1,750 miles in 26 hours from Albuquerque back to Raleigh, but were at least wise enough to leave first thing in the morning. Exhausting!!!
With kids: Durham, NC to Naples FL - 840 miles in 14 hours w/ 2 kids only stopping for meals, gas and toilet breaks. Then did the same thing in reverse a week later to get home.
About 1,250 miles, give or take, from McMinnville, OR to Prescott, AZ. Took me exactly 24 hours. I probably could've made it sooner but hit snow from Bakersfield, CA all the way to Prescott. And the further east I drove the worse it got! Not fun. Fell into bed when I got home and slept 12 hours. And, no, I won't do that again!
Second longest was 952 miles in 14 hours. Oklahoma City to Cottonwood, AZ. Hadn't been home in a long time and just wanted to get here.

Thank you. With or without kids makes a big difference. When I had an infant, then toddler, I used to drive six hundred miles every summer to take junior to visit the grandparents. That was a really, really long day. I get double miles for that, don't I?
Once, while hitch-hiking, a buddy and I rode in the back of a pick-up from near Seattle straight-thru to Bakersfield which appears to be somewhere around 1,000 miles. I don't know how long it took but I recall it getting dark somewhere along the way for several hours, other than that I don't remember much else of that section of the trip.
