For me it seems the family wants to go to Canadas Maritimes.
We'll drive around Nova Scotia doing the Annapolis Valley,stopping in Luninburg,Peggys Cove, the fort at Loiusburg and for scenery drive the Cabot trail.
Then off to Prince Edward Island, Charlottetown and the beaches.
Starting from Montreal it Should take about 3 weeks.
I love PEI and wish I were going this year (I'm in Ohio, USA). As it is, I am on a 1 year spending freeze hoping to facilitate my retirement. So no trael vacations for me. Maybe next year.
We're retired so we travel all times of year. Summer: Bruges, Belgium. A month in Michigan to see family. For two months in the winter - Koh Samui, Thailand.
We're not taking a big summer vacation. We do plan to take a few weekend trips to places that are an easy drive or train ride away. We'll spend a weekend at a B&B a few hours away and probably go to New York City for a weekend to see a play.
