Hey, I JUST stayed there last month. With tax it was $100. I wasn't pleased either but since I slept on the floor of the airport on the way there which was totally uncomfortable, I decided screw it, I've got money leftover from my trip, I'll just pay the bucks, get a nice shower & watch cable.

$1100/night in Bora Bora. Have done $1,000/night for suites in New York and Vegas on New Year's Eve. Recently got back from Manhattan, we stayed on Park, upper East side, that was around $700/night.

We generally don't skimp on travel: first class airfare and five-star accommodations, period -- but I really, really hate flying. Hate. How are we able to do this? Start with: dual-income, no kid couple. This alone makes many, many things possible. Truth.

Where did you stay? I just paid ~$700 including tax for an OWB at the IC Tahiti before a week on the Paul Gauguin. The whole area was overrated in my opinion.
