Mumbai to Newark. We were in the air between 17-18 hours. I don't think the flights between those two points normally take that long (closer to 15-16 hours), but I think that we had to take a slightly longer route due to weather issues.
LAX (via JFK) to Sydney was also long at 14-15 hours, but it was still a smoother flight than the India flights (I also flew Newark to Delhi on my inbound).
I don't know the time, but I flew from Los Angeles to Seoul as my longest leg of any journey. That non-stop is now listed at 13:40. But in terms of hours, I guess it would have to be on a Canadian Forces transport flight from CFB Trenton, Ontario, to France, and it wasn't even a jet aircraft (1964), so it must have been well over 12 hours
.Longest continuing flight, without leaving airports, would be Tallahassee - Atlanta - Los Angeles - Seoul, leaving at daybreak, arriving about sundown, with a 8-hour time change, so that would be about 20 hours en route. But that's not so bad, I've been on longer bus rides than that in South America, and train trips in Africa over 30 hours.
I rode a bus from the Ecuador border through Peru to Arica, Chile, with only a one-hour bus change in Lima, which Googla calls a 33-hour drive. But my bus broke down in northern Peru (trying to cross a washed out flooded river), and limped late into Chiclayo, waited for an alternate bus, so I think that turned out to be over 48 hours.
any IAH flights bound from DOH, DXB are listed at 14:45 or 15:30 hours . Might be more or less. Flown that a 15 hour flights 8 times. Expecially with Qatar airways , after Iceland, you almost touch Greenland before heading down into Canada and North East. And they are non stop.
The longest non-stop flight I've ever had was from Atlanta-Hartfield to Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris. 14 hours. I thought I could handle it and wouldn't get jet lag being someone that was used to having insomnia but wow did I get a shock. That whole flight set off a chain of unfortunate events that surrounded me when I got to France.
I know you posted this a few months ago, but when did that happen? ATL-CDG is usually an 8-hour flight.
Taipei to Paris and Taipei to Amsterdam, both were about 13~15 hours.
There was one from Madrid to London to Bangkok then to Taipei, Idk how long was that but it was LONG.
I usually take sleeping pills on these long ass flights.
