A picture shows here being forceably removed by police....from the exit row.
There is a sizable thread now in the aviation forum, I have some links to the flyertalk forum that has some other info - including that this woman has a history of frivolous lawsuits, a picture taken by fellow passengers showing police removing her (from what appears to be an exit row), and a statement from fellow passengers indicating that she was obnoxious.
People like this frequently have a "me first" attitude. I know a couple that fits this description. They are the first to demand discounts and free stuff whenever they think they have been inconvenienced.
Maybe ... maybe she should've left the plane voluntarily and she wouldn't have had to spend the weekend in jail and might have had a better case in court.
Or maybe the FA shouldn't have overreacted and treated her like scum to begin with.
Well then I guess a FA needs to be fired, because the last time I flew UA (a carrier I have no status on) the FA moved me to an exit row all by myself instead of having me squished between two obese women--without me asking.
It seems like "Oh no you don't" isn't really an order. It's a passive aggressive statement with no real direction.
Yes, I get confused when someone tells me "No" all the time. I just don't know what to do.
When someone says "Oh no you don't", I always take it to mean "Yes, please go ahead, I don't mind."
She did obey crew orders. She returned to her seat. Several witnesses have stated this.
