Trying to get 2 tickets from the Jersey Shore to Det. March 19th-22nd. I can't seem to get any decent prices from Jersey, or Philly for these dates. Even 1 stop I am finding long layovers.
Does anyone know where I can get a flight for under $500 pp either non-stop or 1 stop without a 4 hr. layover on the East Coast for those dates.
Unfortunately, DTW is a Delta hub and often pretty unreasonable. If you're okay with an alternate airport, Flint really isn't a bad drive from the northern Detroit suburbs. (I know some Detroit-Oakland County people who prefer going out of there because of better long term parking.) This fare does appear to be bookable directly on United.com 's web site.
Thank you for your responses. This is for my daughter & g'd that have to get to Adrian College for admissions skating test. I will check & see how far Flint is to Adrian.
I thought because it was Delta's Hub the prices would have been more reasonable. She told me one non-stop out of Philly, 1 way was $1,900. I haven't seen that but I just can't understand these prices with gas so low.
Lansing is slightly closer to Adrian than Flint (1:18 to 1:39) and also has a $321 United option without insane layovers. Since it's a 53 mile drive once you pick up a car at DTW, it's actually kind of a wash in terms of getting there because it's easier to get out of the smaller airports.

BM thank you. Since they live in So. Jersey where is the flight flying out of to get to Lansing?
^ That is quite a trip, esp drving from the south Jersey shore to LGA, (get there early for the TSA march), then hoping the layover in ORD works, fly back to Lansing, get off & rent a car and drive to Adrian for 1.5 hrs...
Followed by a 6:00 AM departure a couple three days later.
The OP must be confused/inundated by now. There is no easy way to get from 'Jersey Shore' to Adrian, for cheap, and without some anxiety time-wise, esp in winter, imo.
For example, one could drive from AC to Adrian in ~10 hrs door to door, in good weather, fwiw...

That was my thought, just drive. I'd rather spend 10 hours driving then spend 10 hours trying to get someplace with non-direct flights and layovers that are the illusion of faster because it involves planes.
