Worst Domestic:
LaGuardia
Washington Dulles
Atlanta
San Francisco
Boston
Best International:
Vancouver
Mexico City
London Gatwick
Worst International:
London Heathrow
Paris
Panama
San Diego: every time I flew in/out it was with Southwest and the terminal was horrendously crowded.
Phoenix: my 'home' airport. It is fine although Terminal 4 can get very crowded. Monorail has been a big improvement especially if you use the East Economy Lot.
Philadelphia: flew through there in April. Seemed okay.
La Guardia: probably the worst airport in the developed world.
Washington Dulles: was okay when I used it last but hate those 'buses' they use sometimes.
Atlanta: too big but otherwise okay. Unlikely to go back as we are refusing to fly Delta any more (they suck!).
San Francisco: never had a bad experience and figured out how to get the BART into the city which saved a bunch of money.
Boston: use it quite often and never had a problem. Main issue is the traffic getting to/from.
Vancouver: never been.
Mexico City: got food poisoning there. Yuck!
London Gatwick: it has been a while but a good airport. Very good links into London but be careful not to get on the expensive train by mistake.
London Heathrow: depends if you are connecting and have to change terminals. That can be a royal pain in the behind. Terminal 5 is nice if crowded and pretty easy to connect through. Terminal 3 can be a problem if you arrive at immigration behind the flight from Nigeria or India. Good shopping and restaurants.
Paris: I only know CDG (Roissy). Was there in April and it was fine. No problems with immigration, bags or getting in/out.
Worst EVER was London Heathrow. Had to take a bus between terminals in 95 degree heat jammed in with 100 other people.
Most airports I am ok with. My favorite hubs are MSP and Denver. They know how to handle inclement weather. My least favorite is probably Chicago O'Hare or Laguardia.
ATL gets a lot of hate, but I don't really mind it. It's properly equipped to handle the large volume of traffic it receives and is seldom effected by weather delays.
A lot of people seem to like Denver airport and hate LGA.
Not to sound like a broken record but LGA does a pretty good job considering its size and its proximity to midtown. The good part is how short a transport it really is to midtown Manhattan and other suburbs. JFK and EWR (as well as DEN) are arduous trips from their downtowns.
I would say the best are Detroit, Denver and Seattle. Never had any really bad experiences.
Worst are JFK, O'Hare and LAX. I try to avoid these if at all possible. Unfortunately I sometimes have no choice but to use O'Hare to visit family, but go to Midway when I can.
International:
Best: Singapore Changi, Amsterdam Schiphol, Hong Kong, Zurich.
Worst: Paris CDG (no other airport is even close), London Heathrow.
I'm not sure what people's issue with Paris CDG is. I flew in there twice last April. Once with American and once with Easyjet. Immigration was fine and a lot quicker than US immigration (unless you have Global Entry) and the bags came out just as quick as they do in most US airports. Signposting was all in English and French, there is a good bus service into Paris, a mainline train station and an RER/Metro station which also gets you into Paris. I found plenty of stores, coffee shops and even a McDonalds if you have to hang around. Taxis are expensive but not more so than from JFK into Manhattan and the traffic is horrendous but not more so than the Van Wyck.

I agree. CDG isn't my favorite, but it's far from being least favorite either.
I had a layover in LaGuardia recently. I don't remember what terminal I was in but the only food option aside from the vending machine was a pretzel kiosk. Not even a fast-food joint. It was also quite dirty and dark and had a bit of a musty smell to it. That was one layover that couldn't end fast enough. I think next time I'll just shoot for Chicago O'Hare.
I am also not a fan of Atlanta-Hartsfield. Delay hell that airport.......
I've always liked DFW when they are not under construction. Shortest security lines I've ever been in for a major airport, or perhaps I'm just lucky? Plus the Skylink is cool.
