I ordered a computer monitor from Korea (they use the same power outlets as Germany/France) and am not sure if it comes with a power adaptor. I don't want to order one online since I would hate to get one and not need it. On the other hand I would like to get one quick if it is missing from the box. Are there any stores you can think of that typically sells them?

We have Frys and MicroCenter chains that sell adapters and converters.
In TN? Maybe Electronics Express?

Stores that sell travel necessities might have one (although mostly they will stock US-to-foreign plug adapters for obvious reasons).

Target sells them. Look in the luggage/travel section. They sell (or at least used to sell, several years ago) US-to-foreign as well as global-to-global adapters and converters. I got one of the latter back in ~2010 and am still using it regularly.

Most any good luggage store would have them.

Your phone charger is probably a US-outlet USB connector, and your new device will also probably have the mini-USB plugin. Just use your phone charger. If you don't have one, there will certainly be one in the box, but if it has a non-US plug configuration, just replace it with any modern USB charger that fits into your wall.

Thanks for all the good suggestions. I live rural but there is an electronics express in town so they will be my first stop. Target is 35 miles away but it sure beats waiting for Amazon to deliver.

Q: Why would you order a 240v Monitor from Korea? And have to go thru the hassle of having to convert the 240V to 120V?

Travel type transformer are not made for LongTerm Usage,

You can expect them to burn out quickly, and possible burn out your monitor.

120v Monitors are not that expensive...
