I have flown Copa and Avianca and United, from California to Bogota or Cali, and not once have encountered WiFi on the international portion of the flight. I don't mind whether the WiFi is free or I have to pay for it, but I'd like to have it! Does anyone know of any US-Colombia flights with Wifi? Doesn't necessarily have to be from California, I could fly to Houston or Miami first.
The domestic portion of the flights within the U.S., do have it, which is nice because I can get some work done, check emails, stay in communication with work and family.
Keep in mind that planes get swapped around all the time for schedule adjustments or mechanical issues somewhere in the system, and there's no guarantee that what's showing now will be the same when you board for departure.
I go from San Francisco, sometimes the first stop is in Central America. It's a long flight, it would be nice to have WiFi.
Just asking, but why is WiFi is such a huge importance? I've only needed it on long domestic flights during the day when I needed to get work done. On a long international flight, sleeping or watching movies is the only thing I think about.
