And it was the goddess laying next to me that made it so beautiful. The beach and ocean were just a backdrop for her amazingly dynamic curves as she lay there before me with a body only an angel, heaven sent could have. The long days on the beach turned into passionate nights as even time seemed to stand still.
I have returned there twice since then but alone, as I have been destined to walk this Earth. . . .
half a life without her.
Many years ago we went on a trip from a cruise ship in Nassau to an awesome island beach. It was of course way too crowded but the beach , clear water and marine life were at the top of my list for best beach ever.
What is the most beautiful beach you have even been to?
What made it so amazing? Was it the white sands? The clear or perfectly blue waters?
This is impossible to answer! British Virgin Islands, White Bay on Jost Van Dyke. Literally bathtub clear water and calm, white sand. Also BVIs, beaches on Anegada. You have them to yourself. World travelers are not even aware of them. Beaches on the Greek Islands are beautiful and vary greatly. Paradise Beach on Barbados, there used to be a Cunard resort there, not sure what is there now. Almost forgot, Elbow Beach in Bermuda. Pink sand and aquamarine water.
Three favorite beaches come to mind for me. Noosa beach in Australia. Hawks nest on St. John, and the Baths on Gorda.
I guess if I had to choose a favorite out of the three it would be the Baths on Gorda. I'm looking at an 8x10 picture I took of the opening. There's a sandy path nestled between some island trees and your eye is drawn to a giant bolder with a sliver of an opening and just a tease of water.
To get to the beach you have to squeeze through the opening, walk through streams, climb ladders, squeeze through passage ways and come upon some of the most amazing boulder caves to finally reach the beach. There was a bunch of feral cats on the beach waiting for their lunch from one of the kind hearted tour guides that brought a box of cat food with on every journey.
I would love to see that beach again some day before I get to old to make that rigorous journey again. It's not your typical park your car and hike a flat trek to the beach.
Bondi Beach (Australia), Malibu (Southern California), and Pismo (Central California).
