I'm thinking 36 mins to change planes in Atlata for a 16 year old girl is not enough time. She'll be flying in with her dad from Tampa, but both only have 36 mins to catch the next flight to different destinations. Can he possibly get her on the flight and still make his connection? Flight history shows they will arrive into A34, but no departing history for her flight. Thanks, concerned mom!
For a domestic flight? It will probably be in the same terminal, I would imagine. Oh sorry - 'concourse' in the case of ATL.
Is this layover part of the ticket purchased? Or were two separate flights purchased? If the former, the airline is responsible for getting her to where she needs to go, even if she doesn't make it. Often, if flights are on time, they're significantly early and she might end up with more like 50mins to an hour to get to the next flight.
It was ticketed by Delta as one flight. Thanks for replying.
Then Delta is responsible for getting them on even if they have to hold the plane for a few minutes. Otherwise they'll be put on the next flight to their destination.
It all depends on which gate you arrive and depart from. Some gate combinations would make it impossible. But you might get lucky and have both gates use the same concourse and be close to each other.

30 minutes is not long enough for anyone to reliably change planes...let alone ensure your luggage gets on the next plane.
