Has anyone out there ever gotten sick on an amusement park ride?

When I was a kid, I could tolerate roller coasters (but not the real big ones like Revolution and Colossus). As I grew older though, I stopped riding them because I don't like the motion and speed.

I can recall only one time I didn't feel well on a ride, and it was the Tower of Terror experience at Disney Sea.

It's one of those rides where your seat is taken up high and then suddenly dropped for a free fall sensation. The first drop if I recall was a 'tease.' Then it was a series of prolonged free fall drops. I could literally feel my insides shifting up, and if I had eaten anything I for sure would have tossed major cookies.

After the ride was over my stomach still felt queasy.

Yes, I took my son then about 4/5 to fair. We took the 'salt-n-pepper' . He was a real trooper because after we got off, I found a bench and literally had my head between my knees or laying down, for 45 minutes. Didn't throw up, but was just out of it. He took care of me as people walked by and inquired about my condition.

first sign that you are an oldster is when you realize that you've rode The Scrambler for your last time. Hope I don't get that way again the next time I'm on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Yes, over a decade ago, which also happened to be the last time I ever visited an amusement park. I think the older you get the less your body would be able to tolerate that kind of 'amusement'.

I've never actually vomited, but rides that spin around a lot have made me nauseous and I usually avoid them. Roller coasters don't bother me a bit, and I've gone on quite a few over the years (Cedar Point, Six Flags, etc.)

The.. I think it was called the Apple Turnover or something like that.. I was about 9 and went on it, got off and was miserable for about 2 hours afterwards.

The thing that starts out spinning you around and then raises up so you're spinning upside down.

Took my nephew out to Carowinds a few years ago and he rode that thing about 4 times in a row and a few minutes later was blowing chunks into a trashcan.

No, but I've been puked on by others twice on rides. Once it was the swinging pirate ship, the other was on the Cyclone in Coney Island. Not cool.
