I am newly retired and am selling my house to by an RV. I want to leave Tx and go to SanJose. I am in NO hurry but want to see things along the way. I think I'd like to stay off major highways until I get used to driving the RV. Any advice ??

I guess that is why the question "Do you know the way to San Jose?" is so difficult.

Budget for RV?
Daily budget?

Destination / timeframe?

If on a budget, Buy a 20 mpg RV. Mine cost $20k, but I mostly use my $35 evil diesel VW. It gets 50 mpg on free fryer grease.
