Sounds like a racket for Uber to lease out themselves....I'm sure you could do better shopping around. It's the modern day equivalent of the "company store" charging exorbitant prices for food and bedding to gold miners and migrant workers.

I don't know reneeh63. I read one review where one person was grateful for the service because, it did help her make some money to support herself. I'd like to find out more how it works. If nothing else, I can notify them and return the car in 2 weeks after I do.

Its not worth it. My friend almost signed up for it but was told they would have to pay , I think $150 a week to lease it, and no lease should be $600 a month, but the car would be paid off in 3 years. Once you add in commercial insurance, you are now looking at $750-800 a month, plus gas, so after all that you get paid from Uber. And if you dont make money or take a few days off, that weekly lease payment is still due.

So if you were making $100 a day and working 5 days a week, you are probably making $1500 a month, unless you can bring in $150 a day and get about $2500 a month, but do you really wanna sit in a car for 8hrs a day, when uber keeps lowering the rates per miles for the drivers, so they get paid, but the Uber drivers get screwed.

You will find most Uber drivers work for Lyft as well because there is not too much money in Uber when they are charging .60-.70 cents a mile. If you try to Uber on your own car insurance and get in a wreck, ive heard many car insurance companies will drop you and some even put you into a database to the point where you are blacklisted and other insurance companies wont cover you either afterwards.

Thanks for the info SAAN. It sounds like I might want to check into driving for Lyft vice Uber. I know 2 friends who drive for both. I don't understand why Uber is cutting their drivers pay unless they're not having any problems getting drivers. Still, they should take care of their drivers because poor drivers can hurt them.
