Lucky I am not driving; Amtrak to NJ-Ct and back, sister driving to Massachusetts as my gf knows she wants to see her region (it is beautiful in many ways).

We are heading to Indianapolis. My partner is a big fan of road trips, while I hate the drive but enjoy doing something out of the ordinary. I don't consider that "traveling," though.

Staying home. Letting people travel to us. I prefer to travel during off season.

We bought a Salmon boat last weekend so we're taking the maiden voyage to Washington Island, WI. Fish on!

For those of you looking for something a little more unique, Labor day is the only day of the year you can walk across Mackinac Bridge. I'd recommend it to anyone. Unique perspective and gorgeous views.

The holiday weekend is crowded, so I also plan to stay at home with families.

I went to Cairo, Egypt (from Texas) over the Labor Day weekend...left on Thursday, got there Friday afternoon, left Tuesday morning. It was fast and fabulous!
