But, the best place I have ever visited is the United States. I just love it there.
A year ago (September, 2015), my husband and I took a 30-day road trip through England, Scotland and Wales. It was absolutely the "trip of a lifetime." I just want to go back so much!
My favorite cities there were York and Bath, but the one place I will absolutely never forget for as long as I live was Fingal's Cave on the island of Staffa in the Inner Hebrides off the Coast of Scotland. There are literally no words to describe it.

Glad you enjoyed your road trip around my country. There is a lot to see for sure. You're right about York. My eldest son lives there, and it is a great place.
The best place I've visited would be the island of Oahu, Hawaii. I've lived in California and been to most of the United States (except for Alaska). I've visited Mexico. I've been to Paris, France. I've visited (and lived in) Sydney, Australia. I've been to New Zealand. I've also visited Maui and Kauai. I'd say that Oahu is the still the best place I've visited (and lived).
1. Venice Beach, Cal (back in the 70's-80's, now it has changed for the worse)
2. Yelapa, Mexico
3. S. Felipe, Mex
4. Tulum, Mex
5. Formentera island (Spain)
6. Canary islands (Spain)
7. Venice (Italy)
8. Bangkok (Thailand)
9. Maui
10. Hong Kong
