Agreed architecture of varying kinds should be a category. Grand architecture like churches, monuments, castles as well as smaller examples like historic houses.
I like to visit anything that locals recommend...but I guess museums are highest on the list you provided. I think you forgot to mention local restaurants/food places/breweries/bars .

Yep! Love the Ocean, but for man made I picked the Zoo. We have 2 big one's in the Chicagoland area. Brookfield and Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park is downtown next to Lake Michigan and it's fantastic! My kids LOVE going there!!
