I've always told myself that I'd take a few months off in between graduating college and starting my first full-time job; however, I have decided it would be best financially if I only took one month off.
I will graduate May 17th. I have already booked a cruise to the Caribbean with some friends May 23-June 1. I start work June 23rd. I've also been looking into taking a road trip to WV to go whitewater rafting. Riding the Texas Eagle or Southwest Chief by Amtrak also sounds fun.
Any ideas on affordable travel/vacation suggestions?
I'm from SE WI, if that helps. I'm more into the adventure vacations rather than the location destinations (touring big cities, etc).
