My father was Welsh and spoke it beautifully so I also have an affinity for hearing Welsh (though sadly my literacy is almost completely lacking). French I also love to listen to and I speak/understand that language a lot better than Welsh.
Some European languages seem a little off when English syllable rules don't apply. I naturally look for a unit of pronunciation having one vowel sound but when you read words like 'cwtch' - you wonder how will the natives pronounce in correctly?

One grandmother was from France and the other from Italy and I enjoyed listening to them speaking their native languages. They're both gone and I find hearing French and Italian comforting.
Are there any languages, other than your own, that you like to hear spoken, when on vacation?
Any of those which I speak a bit of - fun to practice
