San Francisco would be pleasant that time of year. And probably warmer than during the summer.

I'd recommend San Antonio - very fun city with great Spanish architecture and delicious Mexican food. Visited in February and loved it.

Good suggestion.. Having lived there for 5 years, November should have great weather.

And the nearby Hill Country should not be missed!

I 'm letting Florida 'rebuild' this fall...If heading to SAT, don't miss the craft events / /concerts / Lighted Parades (And towns), just after Thanksgiving... As well as the lighted Riverwalk (Festival of luminaries is earlier in Nov)

The special memorial in Wimberly is quite good. (Dedicated to a HS gal who was killed in auto accident.)
The EmilyAnn Theatre & Gardens, Wimberley, Texas

While I enjoy the left coast... I prefer spending early spring there + it takes a day out of your trip to get there and my carrier of choice does not offer 'red-eye' back to East coast / or NY.

I do like NC, SC, and GA seaboard during early Nov

Just warm? Or warm with beach, hiking, shopping, golf, entertainment, dining? Give us something to work with.

Yes, please tell us what types of activities you would enjoy or do you not care much about that and just want to go somewhere warm?

Without knowing what you'd like to do, I suggest Charleston, SC instead of Hilton Head. To me, Hilton Head is just one big country club type place - totally not my style, but maybe it is yours. Charleston is a very charming place to explore with nice shopping - very walkable and you'd also have the beach to go to. 20 Best Things To Do in Charleston, SC

Savannah is also a great place to visit. 21 Best Things to Do in Savannah, Georgia

Another place I really like is Ft. Lauderdale. They have wonderful shopping and also great beaches. 25 Best Things to Do in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Whats to re-build in Florida? Maybe some of the Florida Keys? I would suggest Miami or St.Pete/Clearwater. It will still be warm.
