Travel time looks like 10 and a half hours. We have bought our home in Boise and traveling from Florida with four, count 'em, four cats. I don't think I can take one more "Pet Friendly" hotel experience and want to push it the 10.5 hours to Boise. Possible? Safe? Wise?

Thanks,

Dart Humeston

What's wrong with LA Quinta. All are pet friendly and we've never stayed in a dirty or seriously bad one. A few were older, but still very serviceable for one night.

Red roof is our second choice.

Both do not have extra fees for pets.

Motel 6 - yeah, I agree. Those can be really ratty.

A piece of advice when travelling with pets. If you leave them alone in the room, crate them. At the very least, put them in the bathroom with the door closed. Put a sign on the door saying "do not open, pets in here, thank you.' Put the DND sign on the door. These methods give you the best assurance that the motel staff won't accidentally let the pets out.

Is someone holding a gun to your head and forcing this?
That route warrants a week filled with stops and sidetrips.

Find some other way to get the cats across country.

What time of the YR? I have been stuck in snow and black ice on that route many times.

Boise is our half-way stop in out direct drives FtCo to Portland, so yes it is a very ez day.

Better yet... drive it at night (view is not spectacular) unless you have the extra time to route through Snowy Range and use the Hobo Hot springs at Saratoga, WY - spectacular route BTW!!!
