The agents were always overly friendly every time i have came back to the U.S, land and air. however, yes. the process is slower, crossing in from Canada in Mexico there is always a hold up, twice coming back from Canada... first time, they checked the car while i waited inside.... second time, they checked the trunk but i didnt have to leave the car.... coming back from Mexico was the same they just checked the trunk... coming back through the airport was very time consuming, we probably had to stand in 3 different lines and had to do all this stuff...

Every country i been too they just look at you with a blank face and just give you your passport and say you're good to go.... going into Mexico i never had to talk to anybody, they just waived everyone through.

Of course I hate all the inconveniences of airports & flying, but I love going somewhere new, or an old favorite or to visit family abroad, more than the inconveniences. I also enjy road trips nearer home, so I do both.
